Finally, the eggs have started to hatch! When we arrived at
school today we were amazed to see four chicks have hatched. The chicks have fluffy, yellow feathers and
large, pink feet. We watched the chicks
using their beaks to peck at the shell and make their way out. When they first came out of the shell the
chicks’ feathers were wet. They
stretched their legs and flapped their wings.
Hatching was extremely hard work and the chicks were very tired. We thought it was funny when the chicks were
climbing on their brothers and sisters! We’re hoping that all the eggs will
have hatched by the end of the day.

Please parents and carers, if you have time, come and visit our cute little chicks!
