Next, we walked from Shadwell overground to Shadwell DLR station and took the DLR to Royal Victoria Docks. Lots of us had never been on the DLR before so it was very exciting!
On the DLR we saw lots of famous landmarks such as Canary Wharf and the Millenium Dome! We also had a chance to fill in our travel passports...
Soon, we arrived at Royal Victoria Docks were we saw the Emirates Cable Cars for the first time! We were so excited about going on them because only three people had ever been on a cable car before, even the adults were excited!
Once we got on the cable cars, the view was amazing! We could see all across London because we were so high up. It was a bit scary, but we were all really brave!
When we arrived in Greenwich, we had our lunch and then went to the Emirates Aviation experience! We learnt about the different parts that help a plane to fly. We acted out how the engine works and we also learnt how to give the safety instructions at the start of a flight. Next we sat in the cock-pit of the world's biggest airbus! We all loved having a chance to be the pilot.
A short walk from the Aviation Experience, we arrived at North Greenwich pier ready for our next mode of transport: the boat! We sailed on the river boat from North Greenwich to London Bridge, and went past lots of famous landmarks including the Cutty Sark, HMS Belfast, City Hall, the Tower of London, the Gherkin and we even went under Tower Bridge!
Finally, we arrived at London Bridge station where we got on our final mode of transport: the 149 bus back to school! It was a real adventure exploring all the different modes of transport and we were completely exhausted by the end. We can't wait for our next amazing trip out in Year 2!
