Welcome to the Purple Cafe!

On Monday 11th November, Purple Class came back from lunch to find the classroom had transformed into a cafe! Unfortunately all of Waitress Stone and Chef Yamin's staff had been taken ill and they desperately needed some new helpers.

Luckily, Purple Class were on hand to help!

The first thing they needed to do was set the cafe up for business.  A team of cleaners made sure the room was spotless and ready for customers...

Next, the waiters and waitresses laid the tables, whilst a team of helpers made the flowers to decorate them...

The team of chefs (led by Head Chef Yamin) made sure they were properly dressed and sorted out the food to be served:

Meanwhile, the concierge and the cashier made sure their stations were prepared for the customers:

Then we were ready for our first customers! Luckily some older girls were walking past and fancied a snack, so we greeted them, took their order and served them our delicious food!

The news of our fabulous food traveled fast and we were soon inundated with customers!  The team of waiters and chefs made sure the customers received the best food and best service in Hackney, and the cafe was soon full of happy customers!

Suddenly, a celebrity guest arrived in the cafe as Mrs James came to sample our food!  We welcomed her into the cafe and took her order.  Our team of chefs and waiters worked at lightening speed to deliver her order quickly and with a smile!

Mrs James said she had never been to a cafe like this before and very much enjoyed her visit! We're sure she thought her two grapes and two bread-sticks were worth every penny of the £9 of (plastic) money we charged her!

News spread around the school about the Purple Cafe and more guests arrived but unfortunately, we ran out of food! We had to close business for the day, but we all had a wonderful time in the cafe and hope to be returning for business again soon!

  4. The two grapes were a refreshing mouth-watering green and the bread sticks were light and crispy with a hint of savoury promise. The service was amazing! I did not have to wait, I was served immediately. I think at one point I had six waiters waiting on me. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Purple Café.
However I do suggest you bring a wallet or purse full of cash, food this delicious does not come cheap!!
The total cost for two bread sticks and two grapes was £9.00 but definitely worth every penny.
    I would absolutely go again!!
    Very satisfied customer Sandra James
